About Us
The Idaho Society of Addiction Medicine (IDSAM) is proud to be the Idaho Chapter of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), a national professional medical society founded in 1954. ASAM unites over 7,000 physicians, clinicians, and associated professionals who share a commitment to increasing access and improving the quality of addiction treatment. Here in Idaho, IDSAM builds upon this national dedication by fostering a community of dedicated professionals specifically focused on addressing the needs of individuals grappling with substance use disorders within our state. Our objective is to establish an inclusive environment that nurtures the growing community of evidence-based addiction medicine providers in Idaho, connecting professionals and strengthening the field locally.
